Emergency AC Repair

When the AC Quits, We Move You to the Front of the Line

1-Year Labor Warranty, 10-Year Parts Warranty, Financing Available

A failed air conditioner in Florida is not an inconvenience. It is a household emergency. Every hour without cooling is another hour of heat and humidity settling into the house, and for homes with infants, seniors or anyone with a health condition, it is a safety issue. Expert Home Service prioritizes emergency calls across Tampa Bay and Central Florida for same-day dispatch.

Call the number for your area and tell dispatch the system is down. There are no automated menus. You speak to a person, describe the symptoms and get an arrival window on the call. Every repair is quoted in writing before work begins and backed by a one-year labor warranty under Florida CAC License #1821579.

Expert Home Service is veteran-owned and has handled emergency calls across Tampa Bay and Central Florida since 1996. Our technicians are direct employees trained in-house by retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Ray L'Heureux, and they stock their trucks with the parts that cause most emergency failures, so most calls are resolved on the first visit.

How an Emergency Call Works

01

You call, a person answers

Tell dispatch the system is down. Emergency calls are moved to the front of the queue and you get an arrival window on the phone.

02

Technician on the way

You get a call when the technician is headed to you. If we quote a window, we are there inside it or you hear from us first.

03

Diagnosis and written quote

Full diagnostic, then the exact price in writing. You approve before any work begins. No surprise add-ons after the fact.

04

Repaired and warrantied

Most emergency repairs finish on the first visit with parts from the truck. We confirm temperatures before leaving and warranty the labor for one year.

Beyond the Repair

If the System Is Past Saving

Some emergency calls end with a capacitor and a handshake. Others reveal a compressor that has failed on a system already past its expected life. When that happens, our technician lays out both options in writing on the same visit: the repair price and what a replacement involves, with no pressure either way.

If replacement is the right call, we can start the estimate on the spot and get a new system scheduled quickly. Synchrony financing is available with approved credit, so a failure on the hottest day of the year does not have to become a financial emergency too. See AC installation and replacement.

Fewer Emergencies

Most Emergencies Start as Small Problems

The capacitor that fails on the hottest afternoon was weak for months. The drain line that floods the closet was half-clogged in spring. A twice-yearly tune-up catches those while the fix is small, and Expert Home Protection Plan members get priority scheduling if the system does fail.

Frequently Asked Questions

No cooling in an occupied home during the warm months, especially with infants, elderly family members or anyone with a health condition in the house. Water pouring from the air handler, a burning smell, or a breaker that trips repeatedly also count. A system that is cooling but not as well as it should can usually wait for a standard appointment. Our guide on what counts as an AC emergency goes through each case.

Emergency calls are prioritized for same-day dispatch whenever we have technician capacity, which is most days during the cooling season. Call (813) 632-8889 for Tampa Bay or (352) 429-0750 for Clermont, Lake County and Orlando, tell dispatch the system is down, and you will get an arrival window on the call.

Every repair is quoted after the technician inspects the system, and you approve the price before any work begins. Expert Home Protection Plan members pay a reduced diagnostic and receive a discount on the repair. Contact us for details.

Turn the system off at the thermostat so a frozen coil can thaw and a failing compressor does not take more damage. Check the breaker once, but do not keep resetting it. If water is leaking at the air handler, turn the system off and put a towel or pan under the drain. Keep blinds closed and fans running.

Most of the time, yes. Our trucks carry capacitors, contactors, motors, thermostats and the other parts that cause the majority of emergency failures. If the repair needs a part we have to order, or if the system is past the point where a repair makes sense, you will know on the first visit along with your options.
