A refrigerator that stops cooling, a dryer that runs cold, a dishwasher that leaves a puddle on the floor. Appliance failures never come at a good time, and most of them come down to a single part. Expert Home Service repairs major household appliances across Tampa Bay and Central Florida with the same technicians, trucks and standards we bring to your air conditioner.
Every repair starts with a diagnosis and a written quote. You approve the price before any work begins, parts carry the manufacturer warranty, and our labor is warrantied for one year. Same-day service is available for refrigerators and freezers that have stopped cooling.
Expert Home Service is veteran-owned and has served Tampa Bay and Central Florida since 1996. The technician who repairs your appliance is a direct employee trained in-house, not a contractor hired for the day, and is accountable to founder Ray L'Heureux. We do not sub out our work, and we do not push a replacement when a repair will do.
The appliances we service most, and the failures behind the majority of calls. Each one has its own page with more detail.

Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Bosch, Kenmore and more. Common parts on the truck, so most repairs finish on the first visit.
Most appliance failures are one part, and most of those parts are inexpensive compared with a new unit. But not every repair is worth doing. Here is how our technicians think about it, and what they will tell you on the visit.
Repair it when the unit is under about half its expected life, the failed part is a common one, and the rest of the appliance is in good shape. A fan motor on a six-year-old refrigerator is an easy call.
Think about replacing when the repair would cost more than half of a comparable new unit, when a major component like a compressor or a sealed system has failed on an older unit, or when it is the second big repair in a year.
Either way, you decide. Our technician gives you the repair price in writing and an honest read on the unit's remaining life. There is no pressure to replace and no commission on a sale.
For the long version, read refrigerator repair vs. replace.

Tell dispatch the appliance, the brand and what it is doing. That helps the technician arrive with the likely parts on the truck.
The technician tests the unit, finds the failed part and checks for anything else on its way out, so you are not calling again next month.
You see the exact price and approve it before any work begins. If replacement makes more sense, you hear that too.
Most repairs finish on the first visit. Parts carry the manufacturer warranty, and our labor is warrantied for one year.

Most appliance repairs are paid at the visit, but larger jobs can be financed through Synchrony with approved credit. Applications are reviewed during the visit and decisions are typically same day.

Refrigerators and freezers, dryers, washers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges and cooktops. Each has its own page with the common failures: refrigerator repair, dryer repair, dishwasher repair and oven repair.
Yes. Our technicians service the major residential brands, including Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, Maytag, KitchenAid, Frigidaire, Bosch and Kenmore. If you have a brand not listed, call and ask. We carry the most common failure parts so most repairs finish on the first visit.
Every repair is quoted after the technician inspects the appliance, so you approve the exact price before any work begins. The cost depends on the part and the age of the unit. If the repair is not worth it, we will tell you plainly. Contact us for a quote.
A good rule: if the repair costs more than half of a comparable new unit and the appliance is past the middle of its expected life, replacement usually wins. Our technician gives you both numbers and the decision is yours. Our guide on refrigerator repair vs. replace walks through the logic.
Often, yes. A refrigerator or freezer that has stopped cooling is treated as a priority, since food is on the line. Other appliances are scheduled same day or next day depending on the queue. Call (813) 632-8889 for Tampa Bay or (352) 429-0750 for Clermont, Lake County and Orlando.
